hi, i am breastfeeding my 2 week and 3 day old DS2. He wakes 2-3 hourly 24/7 for feeds. we have also had periods of 4-5 hours of cluster feeding. i was also told it takes around 6 weeks to establish a reliable supply! i have to admit i am not that fond of breastfeeding, but just get through each feed and aim for that 6 week period. yes it is tiring (i also have a 2 year old) but i am really trying mentally and phsyically to do it. the old tinny of formula is tempting, but i havent gone that way as there is no real certainty that it will make him sleep any longer any way. so i guess i am saying that you should just stick to breast if you are wanting to breastfeed long term. the sleep will hopefully come!! feel free to message me anytime i am happy to sympathise with the plights and confusion of demand feeding!
